Pipe anchors are used in installations of every kind and for every type of pipe; their main purpose is to safeguard the integrity of the installation, making it possible to run fire protection or drainage pipes anchored to the ceiling. The usual choice is fixing channels or sound-insulated clamps, which can be reinforced and anchored with lag screws or chemical anchors depending on the load to be supported.

The plug used will depend on the material the installation is fixed to — for example, a specific type is required for plasterboard. Where a stronger fixing is needed, metal expansion anchors are another option.
