The longer a fire takes to spread, the better the chances of extinguishing it with the least possible damage. Together with AF Systems, Foncal supplies the Canary Islands with technologies designed to seal the penetrations of electrical, thermo-hydraulic and mechanical installations, ensuring the fire resistance of walls, floor slabs and suspended ceilings.
Efficient compartmentalisation can limit the reach of a fire, containing it for up to 180 minutes — allowing the building to be evacuated and damage to be minimised.

Pipe penetration sealing
Protection of walls and floor slabs penetrated by combustible pipes or metal pipes with combustible insulation. Fire collars, made of stainless steel, contain intumescent material that expands with heat, blocking the passage of fire.
