- 1978
The business begins
Distribution of plumbing, construction and civil-works materials begins in the Canary Islands as an expansion project of the Sucan group.
- The 90s
Expansion to the capital islands
New branches open on the capital islands to bring materials closer to the professional, with smaller, more accessible facilities.
- 2006
Foncal is born
The Foncal brand is consolidated as a company. Product lines expand into HVAC and renewables such as solar energy.
- 2007
Opening in Fuerteventura
Foncal arrives in Fuerteventura with the El Matorral branch, serving the island's professionals.
- 2011
Expansion in Tenerife
A new branch in Santa Úrsula covers the north of the island and strengthens the sales network in Tenerife.
- 2012
Return to Gran Canaria
Foncal returns to Gran Canaria with the El Goro branch in Telde, recovering its presence on the island.
- 2018
Opening in Lanzarote
A new branch in Arrecife brings Foncal's catalogue and service to Lanzarote's professionals.
- 2020
Opening in La Palma
With the Mirca branch, Foncal completes its presence across the islands and consolidates a network of seven stores.
- 2026
New HVAC business line
A new business line specialising in air conditioning is created, with a dedicated team and catalogue.
